We were in Charlotte from 12 noon to 7:00pm yesterday. There was a cookout at my parent's house. It wasn't a large group, just my sisters, E***'s husband, my gr*****ther and one of R***'s friends. We had beef ribs, burgers, hot dogs mac&cheese, baked beans and squash. It was very hot so we stayed inside.
After we left my parents' house we went to John P. Kee's church where they were having a cookout. ****'s friend ***** is a member of that church so he invited us. We met John P. Kee as well. He seems very very down to earth. He was in a corner playing chess with a kid. He blended in with the crowd. You wouldn't have been able to pick him out as the millionaire of the bunch. The cookout was for the community which was nice of them to do.

1. Playing with my Magic Curl Barbie until my middle sister broke her hair's curling ability. Mom promised to replace her(the Barbie) but never did.

2. Calling my teachers and bus driver to 'chat' after school in the 3rd grade.

3. Sun-bathing with my white friends until I got sick. My mother couldn'tunderstand why I would sun bathe and I couldn't understand why I shouldn't.

4. Shutting my sisters up in the neighbor's chicken coop.

5. Snacking on food around the grocery store until I got caught. I was munching on a Reese's cup at the checkout counter one day(I had planned to leave part of it). My mom was shocked. To my suprise, (I was about 6 at the time) she paid for the Reese's cup but did not offer the rest of it to me. When I got home my dad said he was going to beat me and that he was going to call my 1st grade teacher and have her beat me too. I never received either beating.

I have formed a singing group. So far we have two members, myself and the lead singer. We will be singing the CCM-meets-traditional Black Gospel-meets-Neo Soul-meets-Trance Pop style of music with a jazz/hip-hop/folk twist. If you are interested you must meet the following qualifications to audition:

1. Sound better than Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Bobby Brown and most American Idol rejects.
2. Be willing to meet occasionally in Charlotte, NC since that is where the lead singer is.
3. Not be easily put-off by odd smells.
4. Open to 'Getting Your Praise On'.
5. Being aesthetically pleasing is a plus but not mandatory.

Okay. So I stayed up till 1am last night working on my dad's club's blog www.unitedbassmasters.com. Then my teammate at work called at 2am for a problem. I was up til 4am working on it. He called me at about 6am for some more help. I'm going into work sometime today although I usually don't work on Thursdays and Fridays. Poobie is watching
Teletubbies while sitting in her saucer. She keeps looking back at me to make sure I'm looking at her watch Teletubbies. Otherwise, she'll start crying. Someone keeps calling. The phone has rung three times since I started this post. Maybe I am needed again. We are waiting on Grandma who will be taking care of her today.

She watched Friends ALL THE TIME!!!!
She really didn't have female friends until I came on the scene. I was able to help her see the importance of female friendship.
She and my sister formed a support group because of their relationship with me.
She would run her hands over all the dirty stuff so I wouldn't get any germs. (hmmm...maybe I shouldn't share everything.)
She had this friend, Monohead, which I did not care for. Monohead acted like she was my friend but betrayed my trust. She shouted very personal information from the window of my dorm room for everyone to hear. She is the ultimate bully and I am unforgiving her.

KatieBug refuses to give me my own space so I will talk freely here. KatieBug was my college roomate. She slept on the top bunk most of the time. She ate a lot of microwave popcorn. There was this Japanese guy who would call me 'Hello Adoweean'. KatieBug's best friend ( a guy) came to see her. I freaked out when he wanted to sleep on the floor in the room. But I've mellowed since. It's okay now. I understand that he was not going to attack me. Back to work....
